PERTAMINA EP has offered again the Operation Cooperation Batch III for 4 exploration areas and 2 production fields on December 16th 2009. The exploration areas consist of: Tebat Agung - South Sumatra,Tanjung Lontar – South Sumatra, West Jambi and West Tanjung in South Borneo. Meanwhile the production fields are: Sambidoyong – West Java, and Serang Deep Zone in North Sumatra.

The bidding information started from January 25th until March 5th 2010 and the bid document submission start from March 29th – 31st 2010. The Operation Cooperation Launching Batch III which is an effort to optimize the utilization marginal field so it expected to obtain contribution in enhancement of reserves and production on Pertamina EP. By means of the Operation Cooperation system, Pertamina EP expected to be more focus on the effort of production enhancement in main supporting fields such as Limau, Tambun, Sukowati, Sanga-sanga and other fields which nowadays proceed to indicate production enhancement significantly with the achievement of production target 2009 which are 125,500 barrel per day.

The agreement period of Exploration area in Operation Cooperation is 20 years maximum and the partner must submit the first year Work Planning & Budget (WP&B) at least 1 (one) month since the effective day an also must perform the definite commitment for first three years. The agreement period of Production area is 15 years maximum and partner must submit WP&B first years at least one month since the effective day and also must perform the definite commitment in first three years.

The agreement also will be end of withdrawn if in the end of third years the production rates less than 85% base line production. Pertamina EP has rights to withdraw the overall agreement if the definite commitment in the first to three years has not been executed.
